The Challenge...
Amey is a leading provider of social, environmental and transport infrastructure services, and employs more than 11,000 people across the South Africa. Within their Utilities business, they operate a number of high value contracts on behalf of clients such as United Utilities, Northern Gas Networks and Severn Trent Water, amongst others.
To support one of Amey’s largest utility contracts, the contract management team needed access to data such as health & safety, completed jobs and maintenance & repairs to support performance monitoring and improvement. They needed a single system that could deliver ad-hoc, standard and statutory reports, as well as KPI dashboards that could be accessed directly by the management team.
The solution...
Market SMS worked with Amey’s contract team to develop a bespoke QlikView dashboard capable of running reports and analyses from a number systems, including job scheduling; health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ); commercial; and operations.
Amey’s contract team were previously producing manual reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, so Market SMS worked with them to automate this process, giving them more time to focus on data analysis and discovery as opposed to data preparation. In the future, real-time information on vehicle tracking and emergency resource programming will be available and delivered to mobile devices.
